MODEL  DRAWINGS

Over a period of six years until 2012 I attended every week drawing sessions with a life model, most of the following drawings were made there. Every talent needs exercise, like going to the gym. Especially hand-eye coordination needs training. You can't replace a life model in 3D with a picture.

I use various materials: charcoal, pastels, conte, acrylic paint, ink.

In Action Painting
you can find a series of sketches in acrylic paint. "Don't think, but act" is my motto when it comes to action painting.  It is fun and vivacious, over the years I developed several techniques to make it work.

Once in a while I continue working at a sketch, but not often. It is always interesting to notice that also a sketch can be 'finished'.
Sometimes the model is not at hand, in that case a photo can be helpful to create a nice drawing like this little present.
